Second Life
The beneficial is seemingly lying there about the Second Life social networking tools. There are much enough types are provided for different kinds of people to use, especially for some patients or disability persons. One of the Second life type of social networking is called Brigadoon. It's for sufferers of autism and Asperger's syndrome to try out the social interactions which are impossible for them in real life. Since the virtual world game has been created, many users found a meaningful thing to do with it. In such a great environment of society, the special people won't feel any uncomfortable by contacting people. And there is one more product is called MMO which can let people chatting, texting message or meeting in clubs to socialize and communicate and just need to pay one-time fee $10. The social networking is a oppirtunity donation station for people who desire to make friends, do buisness or play. Also to some extent, a large group of deviant find a place they can vent their emotion without worries.

I do agree with you that second life benifit a variety of groups of people. It make them enjoy this game for different kind of reasons.For example, like you said,it provide people with disability with a platform that they can socialize with others more freely. But what I think is no matter how great it is to be in this fantasy world, it's not real. The same problem is still exist when they come back to the real world, and it can only aggravate their resentment in real life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said about the second life fantasy world benefiting those with autism. I think that the game is a great way for people with autism to get to communicate with others. I belive that the game will help them to build better social skills and possibly be able to take what they have learned about communication in the game out into the real world.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that second life gives almost a second chance for those who are "less-fortunate" in society. Almost giving them a real life within their lives. It allows them to be who they want to be and live their life without people judging them except through what they know of them in the game, which the person has total control of their character.
ReplyDeleteI agree with keke when it was stated that it is highly beneficial for people with a disability. This is absolutely fantastic. There is no one who has to feel left out, technology is available for all. Additionally, it was stated that it is a great way for communication and finding new people to befriend, but one must do this with caution.
